One of the most iconic parades in the Midwest, the America's Birthday Parade has been running since 1878 and is now celebrating its 141st year. Beginning at 4th Street at 10 a.m., the parade will proceed west down Market St. until noon with floats, dancers, marching bands, and more. Once called impractical and impossible, the Eads Bridge is celebrating 150 years of use this year with a special 4th of July celebration. The Eads Bridge Trolley Tour will be held at 10 a.m., examining the bridge's history and its chief engineer, James Buchanan Eads. Tickets are $5, and guests should arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. at Bellefontaine Cemetery & Arboretum to ensure their spot on the tour.
