The Fourth of July celebrates our nation's independence, and around St. Louis, the fun often extends beyond the day itself. Fireworks are a highlight of upcoming events, of course, but parades, carnivals, and more will also take place on the 4th and, in some cases, the days leading up to it. • Fair Saint Louis - July 4, 2023 - parade down Market Street and fireworks at Kiener Plaza Park, 500 Chestnut St., St. Louis, MO 63101
  Billed as America's Biggest Birthday Party, Fair Saint Louis provides iconic views of an amazing fireworks display exploding in the sky against the backdrop of the Gateway Arch. This year marks the event's 42nd anniversary and includes not only the fireworks display but also a parade at 10 a.m. on July 4. With a theme of "A Better Community for All," the parade will feature floats, marching bands, live performances, vehicles, and more.
  
  
• America's Birthday Parade - July 4, 2023 - West along Market Street, downtown St. Louis, MO 63103
  America's Birthday Parade has celebrated our country since 1848, and the spectacle continues this year. The parade will start on Market Street and move through the streets of downtown St. Louis in the shadow of the Gateway Arch. You'll be able to enjoy marching bands, floats, choreographed dances, live performances, and more as you watch the parade.
  
  
• Webster Groves Community Days - July 1-4, 2023 - carnival at Eden Theological Seminary, 475 E. Lockwood Ave., and parade at Lockwood Avenue and Selma Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119
  Four days of July 4th fun for the entire family comes to the area during Webster Groves Community Days. A Lions Club Carnival will be held all four days, offering rides, midway booths, and barbecue. A Children's Pet Parade will be held on the 3rd, and a Community Days Parade and  Independence Day Fireworks will close out the celebrations on the 4th. • Heritage & Freedom Fest – July 1-4, 2023 - Ozzie Smith Sports Park, 900 T.R. Hughes Blvd., O'Fallon, MO 63366 
  The yearly Heritage & Freedom Fest, held not far from O'Fallon homes for sale, packs a variety of fun into its four-day run. A carnival has adult/teen-only and kiddie rides, so no one has to miss out. Midway games and popular carnival foods like funnel cakes and candy apples will also be featured. Entertainment will be plentiful and includes BMX shows, lots of musical acts, including Chris Lane and 38 Special, and a parade on the 4th. The festival will wrap up with a fireworks display on the night of July 4.
  
  
• Saint Charles Riverfest - July 2-4, 2023 - Frontier Park, 500 S. Riverside Dr., St. Charles, MO 63301
  Head to Saint Charles Riverfest, located just around the corner from St. Charles homes for sale, for a three-day celebration of our country's independence. Twelve musical acts will perform during Riverfest, and a carnival will also add to the festivities with rides, a magic show, face painting, and more. A parade will be held on the morning of July 4, along with an incredible fireworks display at night.
  
  
• Chesterfield 4th of July Celebration - July 4, 2023 - Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex, 17925 N. Outer 40 Rd., Chesterfield, MO 63005
  The Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex provides the perfect setting for Chesterfield's annual fireworks celebration. But wait! There's so much more. In addition to the grand finale fireworks show at 9 p.m., you can enjoy live entertainment and food trucks, while the kids will love the petting zoo and pony rides. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets, as well as outside food and beverages. The event opens at 6 p.m., so be sure to grab a good spot for the show.
