Sunset Hills

Sunset Hills is one of the younger cities in Missouri, incorporating only as recently as 1957. Since then Sunset Hills’ growth has been by leaps and bounds, directed by the many citizens dedicated to organizing and improving the community where they raise their families, work, and play. The city hosts a bustling business community, and is headquarters of Panera Bread.

Dining and Entertainment

Laumeier Sculpture Park is a 105 acre open-air museum and sculpture park featuring a 1.4 mile walking trail, indoor gallery, outdoor movies, and a circa 1816 Tudor stone mansion. There are over 70 sculptures arrayed across the grounds of the Park.

The Sunset Hills and Crestwood area is full of restaurant choices to fit every taste. There you’ll find everything from fast food to reasonable family dining like Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, and Denny’s. For a more local flavor try Fletcher’s Kitchen and Tap, Gianino’s Italian Restaurant, or Lenny’s Sub Shop.

Parks and Recreation

The Sunset Hills Parks department maintains over 70 acres of parkland on behalf of the community. City park features include a sand volleyball court, tennis and basketball courts, soccer fields, playgrounds, and picnic shelters.

Watson Trail Park has a 9 hole disc golf course and Aquatic Facility that is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

The Community Center in Sunset Hills has an indoor gymnasium and features over 20 cardio machines in its fitness area in addition to space designated for kettle bells, free weights, and dumbbells.

The Sunset Hills Golf and Banquet Center has as an 18-hole, par-72 public golf course, and banquet center with the capacity to host events with up to 300 attendees.

Passenger train service is provided by Amtrak with the Kirkwood Train Station located at 110 W. Argonne Rd in Kirkwood, and the St. Louis Station at 550 S. 16th St. in St. Louis.

Bus service is provided by Metro Transit which connects all the suburbs to St. Louis.
